The KSTacademy offers training courses on editing, color correction, VFX, animation, audio editing and, for the first time, virtual film production with the Unreal Engine for anyone interested, from beginners to experienced users.
As a certified training partner for AVID and Blackmagic Design, the KSTacademy meets all the strict standards and guidelines of the manufacturers. All trainers are certified “professionals” in their field. They undergo regular training and recertification.
Official certifications can be obtained by taking a voluntary exam after the training. Any examination fees are included in the price.
If interested, the courses can also be attended remotely. Note: In order for the courses to be successfully completed even when attended online, the appropriate software packages must be installed on the participant’s computers.

Grundlagentraining AVID Media Composer 2023
In this official and completely revised AVID Basic Training 2023, participants will receive a comprehensive overview of the AVID Media Composer editing software and an example workflow in conjunction with Interplay Production. Participants will learn the program interface, create a rough and fine cut, edit audio, use transitions and effects, and learn about the new Title+Tool. You will work on complete sample projects from importing the raw material to exporting the finished article and learn how to interact with a PAM system as well as the correct archiving structure. Upon successful completion of this course, they will receive an AVID certificate of attendance. Afterwards, participants have the opportunity to take a certification exam and, if successful, earn the official "AVID CERTIFIED USER" certificate. Taking the exam is voluntary.

AVID Media Composer 2023 - Professionell
In this course for advanced AVID users, participants will learn advanced editing techniques and the extensive audio editing capabilities in Media Composer. They use keyframes and the full range of audio and video effects to enhance movies. With the help of many practical exercises, participants have the opportunity to deepen and expand their AVID knowledge. In interaction with other video production programs, they create different output media. It explains how to optimally configure the editing system and how to recover projects in case of emergency. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive an AVID certificate of attendance. Afterwards, "AVID CERTIFIED USER" have the possibility to participate in a certification exam and, if successful, to acquire the official "AVID CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL" certificate. Taking the exam is voluntary.

The official Resolve Fundamentals and Basics Training qualifies you to become a Certified User. The training is designed for Resolve newbies or users who want to learn the software from the ground up. This training covers quick editing in the CUT page, project organization, rough and fine editing in the Edit page, fades and effects, audio editing, dubbing, basic color correction, fusion effects, tracking and stabilization, timewarp effects, exporting and archiving according to an example workflow. This course prepares participants for the "Resolve Certified" exam, which can be taken voluntarily at KST after the training.

Fusion 18 - VFX und Animation - Basistraining
One Week Only Fusion. Functional overview, text animation, digital compositing, high-quality keying, visual effects, rotoscoping, stabilizing and 3D tracker, 3D integration, color correction and proper project planning, painting, advanced masks and path animations. This workshop uses numerous examples from the professional environment to create targeted effects and digital compositing. Advanced keying, set extension, matte painting are just a few of the workshop topics. The training is aimed at fusion novices but also advanced users. After the course, participants have the opportunity to take a certification exam and, if successful, earn the official certificate.

Color grading and audio post production - workshop
This training is about the Color and Fairlight Page in DaVinci Resolve.
Color correction, color theory, color spaces, measurement techniques, optimal workflows, S-Log, RAW, codecs and bit rates are all on the program, as well as many practical, hands-on exercises with high-quality raw material. Primary correction, secondary corrections with automatic masks and the use of AI tools. In Fairlight Page, participants restore, optimize and mix audio with the help of virtual buses and multiple master faders. Audio dubbing with the ADR tool, SFX and mixdowns. In iZotope RX9/10, participants use AI tools to optimize and rescue otherwise unusable audio files.

Virtual film production with the Unreal Engine - basic training
This course gives a compact and quick introduction to the Unreal Engine, with a focus on virtual film production: the editor interface and the structure of the Unreal Engine, use of assets and the creation of footage, landscapes and avatars for visualization. Virtual camera rigs, lighting and the use of blueprints and keyframes. Creation of film sequences using Depth Of Field and the classic film look. Participants will also create their own 3D avatar using photogrammetry and Unreal Metahuman.

Virtual film production with the Unreal Engine - Advanced workflows
This course for advanced users goes deeper into the possibilities of virtual movie production in Unreal Engine. Blueprint variables and communication of different blueprints, Unreal Motion Graphics, dynamic materials, performance optimization possibilities, debugging. Using MoCap data, creating your own MoCap datasets, audio and face animation using a smartphone, using a real camera in the virtual world. Export via Unreal Movie Render Queue and post production of the footage.

Combination Training Affinity Photo 2, Designer 2 & Publisher 2
This course gives a compact and quick introduction to the alternatives to Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Affinity Photo 2 offers all the powerful tools for optimizing, correcting and retouching photos and creating titles and belly bands. An intuitive program interface without unnecessary ballast, RAW development, perspective corrections, cropping and photo montage, modeling with the liquefy filter, creating belly bands, collages and titles.
Affinity Designer 2 and Publisher 2 offer hundreds of tools for creating vector graphics, brochures, layouts, and logos. Set up grids, guides, and projection layers, link symbols and constraints, customize keyboard shortcuts, save favorite layouts for the workspace, and more.
